Editorial Policy
Mission. Finepedia aims to explain the world clearly and accurately for curious readers worldwide.
How we create content
- Topics are chosen for reader value.
- Writers research using reputable primary and secondary sources: academic publications, official bodies, museums and established news organisations.
- Articles are written in our own words. We do not copy or spin text from other websites.
Use of AI
- We may use AI tools to help research outlines or check grammar.
- Every article is written or substantially edited, fact-checked and approved by a human editor before publication.
Fact-checking and sources
- Key facts, figures and dates are verified against at least two reliable sources.
- Sources are listed at the end of articles where appropriate.
Health content
- Health articles are general information.
- They cite reputable medical sources such as WHO, NIH and peer-reviewed journals, carry a medical disclaimer, and are reviewed for accuracy.
Neutrality
- Articles on history, religion, politics and conflicts present facts and major perspectives fairly.
- We avoid graphic or shocking imagery.
Corrections
- We correct errors promptly and update the "last updated" date.
- To report an error, email finepedia@gmail.com.
Independence
- Advertising and sponsorship never influence editorial decisions.
- Sponsored material is clearly labelled.
Contributors
- Guest submissions must be original and are edited to these standards.
- Authors are named on each article with a profile page.
